Elemental Alchemy
Elemental Alchemy is an ongoing exploration of elemental forces and their quiet influence on form, surface, and emotion.
This body of work begins with a simple question: how can glaze be allowed to move, rather than merely decorate? Across the collection, I work with both control and release — guiding glaze through deliberate restraint while also inviting the kiln, gravity, oxygen, and heat to participate in the final outcome. The surfaces that emerge are not planned in detail; they are cultivated through relationship.
Elemental Alchemy: Earth
Reborn From Earth
The canvas-like vessel forms used here serve as containment rather than destination. Their role is to hold space for movement — to frame shifting glaze, layered oxides, and mineral reactions as they unfold. These forms provide enough structure to focus the eye, while remaining quiet enough to let the surface speak.
At this stage, the collection centers on earthen canvases, including the Elemental Alchemy triptych (Earth, Water, Air) and related works. Together, they establish a shared visual language — one rooted in elemental exchange, transformation, and balance. As this language deepens, the intention is for the work to evolve beyond these initial forms, allowing the surfaces themselves to suggest more sculptural expressions.

Elemental Alchemy: Water
This collection is not fixed. It is a study in becoming — shaped by fire, breath, mineral, and time.
